Filming with your smartphone has become an everyday reflex. So why not start filming at work? Laurie-Anne Buret, EasyMovie's New York-based associate, gives you three good reasons to get started!
1° Chances are you already have the main tool in your pocket
You don't need the latest smartphone, most of them have the ability to produce beautiful content. If you doubt it, take a look at this video created with the iPhone 3G (yes, the model from 9 years ago). In addition to the phone, all you need is a grip for stability, and a microphone for sound: two essential tools, yes, but very affordable.
2° A smartphone is less impressive than a camera
It knows how to be discreet, which is much better for those who aren't used to being in front of a camera. It may be a familiar tool, but it's no less professional: many journalists use it (including all those at BFM Paris, who film only with their iPhone, for example). We call it #MOJO: "mobile journalism".
3° Anyone can do it
You don't have to be a pro to know how to shoot with a smartphone. There are three simple rules: sound, framing and light. The big advantage: they're easy to master.
