When it comes to recruiting, video is emerging as the new format of choice for companies in 2019. Why is this format so popular right now?

 

The ideal format

While a handwritten job description is a useful tool for posting on numerous platforms, so is a video recruitment ad. There are a lot of job offers on specialized sites, so you need to stand out from the crowd. Video is the ideal format for making your company stand out from the competition.

Arriving on a job advert and coming face to face with a video will help candidates understand your company and the vacancy on offer. A clear, concise explanation of the company and the tasks to be carried out will save candidates time. During their interviews, the video will be the main topic of conversation.

 

Go for short formats

A video is a summary of something. The aim of a video is to convey as much information as possible in as little time as possible. Rather than describing a list of tasks to be done, explain them in your video using keywords. A one-minute video is roughly equivalent to a page and a half of text.

So be careful not to make your video too long. The average attention span of a video is just under a minute. Finally, make other recruitment videos based on your job offers, using the same storyboard. This is what we used for ours, an example of which is shown below:
