Smartmedia continues its partnership with Cenareo

After a successful 1st collaboration, Smartmedia, an advertising agency developing Print and Digital solutions for hypermarkets and shopping centers, continues its partnership with Cenareo. Formerly CityMeo, this innovative company develops an intuitive, collaborative digital signage management solution in SaaS mode. By renewing its confidence in Cenareo, the group aims to boost its national network and accelerate the development of its digital offering, which now accounts for 70% of its sales.

"Originally, we were looking for a flexible, agile operator to boost and develop our national digital network. With Cenareo, we have found a trusted partner for the past 4 years. The ergonomics and simplicity of its management interface have enabled us to renew contracts despite increased competition."

With Cenareo, Smartmedia offers its customers a tailor-made solution

Cenareo offers a Content Management System (CMS) for remote management of broadcasts on display screen networks. For its part, Smartmedia, an advertising network based in shopping malls and hypermarkets, has turned the industry on its head, creating an offer specially adapted to its lessor customers. In addition to making its inventory available to advertisers, it gives its clients speaking slots on every screen in their establishment.

These lessors, who have access to the Cenareo management platform, can program and broadcast communication campaigns for their stores, products and events.

Screen share of voice is therefore shared between Smartmedia's live backers and advertisers whose content is managed by Smartmedia.

This model required specific development by Cenareo in order to respond to Smartmedia's new model: the separation of share-of-voice management. For lessors, malls or hypermarkets, this is a very interesting offer, providing attractive communication as close as possible to the act of purchase, with a very interesting campaign ROI and conversion rate.

"Our collaboration with Smartmedia was a challenge, as we had to help them go digital. Together, we co-constructed a new functionality for their specific needs, in addition to our classic advertising network solution."

David Keribin, CEO of Cenareo

Smartmedia customers such as Leclerc, Super U and Carrefour were immediately won over by the Cenareo platform, and in particular by the ergonomic design of service. Thanks to digital signage, Smartmedia's customers can control displays on a fleet of remote screens. Using the simple, turnkey collaborative platform not only gives them agility and flexibility, but also saves them precious time. With service, they can modernize their brand image, enhance their know-how and ensure that their offers, events and promotions are always perfectly communicated and up to date.

"Originally, our core business was focused solely on print, but we had a strong desire to diversify into a digital offering. Thanks to the commitment of the Cenareo teams (associates and developers), their willingness to adapt their solution to our needs, and the platform's ease of deployment, we were able, after 2 years of development, to launch our digital offering and increase our fleet of screens from 15 to 1,000 across the country. Our current ambition is to install 300 additional screens each year. What's more, thanks to our partner, we have obtained ACPM certification."

Solution benefits :

  • Screen synchronization
  • Content creation
  • Collaborative management
  • Scalable network
  • Dynamic flows
  • Voice share management
  • Product reliability
  • Team responsiveness
  • Offline operation
  • Contextualization of broadcasts (reactive weather campaign, facial reco, sensors, ....)

An easy-to-deploy solution with rapid return on investment

Nevertheless, the market is evolving, and the trend today is to equip the interior of the sales area with display screens. That's why Smartmedia is planning to develop its offer along the following lines:

  • Extend our offer inside points of sale, always letting managers use the screen for their own communications, while at the same time enhancing the value of their advertising space on the advertising market.
  • Qualify audiences to offer advertisers ever more relevant spaces, notably through facial detection software and audience measurement for each advertising panel.
  • Apply the codes of programmatic digital advertising to the physical world (e.g. rest of inventories auctioned instantly)
  • Extend these offers to outdoor advertising by equipping parking lots with LED panels
