Create a Fast Life to get to know your employees better

May 9, 2019

Needless to say, the Fast & Curious format has become a household name on social networks. But have you heard of the Fast Life format?

Based on the same concept, Fast Life answers very specific questions in a very short space of time. Why and how can this format be adapted for corporate videos? We tell you all about it.

What is Fast Life?

Developed by French media company Konbini, the Fast Life format allows interviewees to briefly introduce themselves. The concept is simple: in around one minute, you answer a question-and-answer interview. The questions can be very diverse: more business-oriented, or more personal. The aim is to get to know you. It's therefore more interesting if the questions are a little "offbeat" to really reveal the interviewee's personality. The Fast Life format has many interesting features for the corporate world.

Here's an example with the famous French actor Vincent Cassel:

Why is this a good format for corporate videos?

This very simple format is a good option, either as a presentation videoor in parallel, after some time spent in the company. In the latter case, you can really ask questions about the company and get an idea of the general atmosphere. This format can also be used as a recruitment video.

In any case, this format will enable you to find out a little more about your colleagues, their tastes, origins and so on. This will make it easier for you to strike up a conversation on a specific subject, and new colleagues will be able to get to know the company more quickly...

How to make a Fast Life?

It couldn' t be easier! All you need to do beforehand is tothink of ten or so questions to ask your interviewer, which he or she will be able to answer quickly and easily. The aim is not to expect highly developed answers, but rather short answers that follow on from each other very quickly. The video must be dynamic. It's more interesting if the answers are spontaneous and follow one another.

You should also make sure that the questions you ask are neither too general nor too closed. A "yes" or "no" answer won't interest your viewers. Prefer questions such as "What kind of job did you want to do when you were a kid?" or "Do you have a story to tell about your colleagues?", which will encourage your interviewee to expand a little on his or her answer.

Et, grâce à EasyMovie il est très facile de réaliser ce genre de vidéos. Il vous suffit d'utiliser un template très simple composé de panneaux questions à définir selon l'interviewé, et de filmer ses réponses, le tout en automatique.
