How Damartex brought its teams together with digital signage

January 9, 2020

Towards greater cross-functionality between teams

The Damartex group, which has a dozen sites and subsidiaries in Europe, needed tosolve the following equation: how to spread a common culture and values within the group, while respecting the specificities of each brand across Europe? But how to interconnect its teams instantly to create transversality? Indeed, structures and subsidiaries are sometimes separated by hundreds of kilometers.

This is the story of the deployment ofdigital signage for internal communications at Damartex, with the ultimate aim of deploying a harmonized communications strategy that's easy to deploy and bring to life.

Damartex opts for digital signage by Cenareo

Damartex logically called on Cenareo to disseminate its internal communications and convey a dynamic brand image to all its employees. It opted for digital signage: 35 screens were deployed at twelve sites.

The HR and IT communication managers at each site add their own content and update it in real time via a responsive, modular display system. Content is simply integrated from a management platform accessible from any computer or tablet by the screen administrator, then broadcast according to specific criteria: is it raining? Prevention messages are transmitted. Road traffic conditions are displayed at peak times, etc.

Corporate culture shared on screens

Cenareo players are Plug and Play and sent by post. On receipt, they simply need to be plugged into the screens to operate. The solution then enables each subsidiary and the group to broadcast any media format.

Video is the media of choice, but the solution also supports PDFs, images and power points. The group can also benefit from customizable online templates. What's more, each subsidiary has control over its own communication: content is sectorized, and each can broadcast what it wishes on its own channel. Only management assistants, internal communications teams and IT can broadcast, with a system of user rights. Head office retains control of the entire network.

Scenic design at every turn

Thanks to these dynamic panels in reception areas, cafeterias and other shared work spaces, the company has scripted its internal communications. Whether to present the new collection of a Group brand to all its subsidiaries, to communicate the life of brands between its structures or to indicate the state of traffic.

This well-integrated solution is appreciated by employees, who see it as a natural, first-rate source of information to unite their teams. The information disseminated is of high added value: announcement of common objectives by management, communication of events by the works council, etc.

Today, the solution is deployed at all Damartex sites in Germany, England, Belgium and France.
